Herbal Book

This was a new scribes project that I participated in. The pages will be bound along with others and present to HRM Luna at 12th Night 2004 (I can't wait to see the finished project). It is done on Bristol Board Cold Press with gouache. This was really done free-style. I did look at some medieval herbal pages before I started and stuck true to form, but each artisan will have done something different (as no time period was specified either for the calligraphy).
