Background: Roman women wore as many as five necklaces covering from the base of the neck to just above the waist. These necklaces contained glass beads, amethysts, emeralds, pearls, sapphires and cornelian threaded on wire using a technique now called loop in loop. This necklace was made to wear with my Roman outfit for the Coronation of Darius II and Roxane II on 4/12/03.
