Completed February 2003
Background:
These needle cases were made as Kingdom gifts for TRMs Balfar IV and Luna IV to be presented at Gulf Wars. They are made from blue brocade, black felt and black ribbon. They would have had embroidery on the front, but there was a miscommunication between myself and the embroidress and the work she gave me was unusable. I have been told that needle cases similarly made with embroidery on the front are period to the late 15th and early 16th Centuries. Unfortunately, I have not done any research myself on this.
