I participate in a martial art form that emulates medieval
tournament combat, as closely as saftey will allow. This is done
under the auspice of the Society for Creative Anachronism. This group is divided into
regions called kingdoms and even smaller groups called baronies,
shires, cantons and colleges. I live in the East Kingdom in the
Barony of Dragonship Haven.
At the Coronation of TRm's Balfar and Luna, I was asked to read the following in court:
"I Baron Osgkar, Squire to His Majesty Balfar, do here now challenge all Knights and Masters of the Knowne World to single combat using the forms of pole arm and great sword at Kingdom Crusades during the Reign of Their Majesties, Balfar and Luna."
